I walk through the door of a café and my senses come alive. I start to think…
Hmmm…this space is really wide. It would be a good idea to design different spaces arranged horizontally. I like those lamps made out of water bottles…but I don’t know if they take away from the “glamour” of the place.
As I’m lost in my own world, I run into the stools at the tables and Hey! What cute stools! They’re covered in pages from comic books! I should try that with my kitchen stools. They’re all scratched anyway…
I sit down at a table with a friend to have a coffee but I stop paying attention to what she’s saying because I’m looking at a small, peeling cabinet. I think it would look better in a brighter yellow. Ah! Sorry. What were you saying?
I can’t avoid it. Wherever I go, I’m always looking around the space because everything attracts my attention. It may be a bad habit, I don’t know, but I love everything related to decoration and/or art (what I call deco-art).
I’m not worried about the definition but my mind races and thousands of ideas bombard me. Of which I end up actually producing…very few! What a disaster. Recycled, restored or reused furniture, unique decorative pieces and some crafts, that’s what is always in my head.
I hope this blog will help me put my projects in order and yours too, if my eccentric point of view and my experience can contribute something new. See you soon!
And if we meet for a coffee I promise I’ll listen to you from beginning to end!
