I’m in advertising –more or less- but I must say that when I was little I wanted to be an architect like my older cousin. Building impossible houses or designing dizzying buildings… Anyway, I ended up in advertising thanks to a friend at school who told me he was going to be a journalist and explained to me everything that they taught in the Department of Information Science –as it was still called in those days- and to a mate I did my military service with. He could draw really well, so he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps –who was the head of one of the most renowned advertising agencies of the time (*).
So, more than 25 years in advertising, communication, image, institutional relations… alongside other projects and experiences at many times. Over this time, I’ve learned that what is just as important as how.
Success?? Personal experience for sure. In any case, work has always been better in a team. Like now at L’Antic Garatge.
(*) The former, I reconnected with on Facebook. The latter I lost touch with after the course in Telecommunications we did in Vigo –he was surely stationed somewhere closer to home. When I finished, I didn’t dare call him to ask his father for a job.
